PCN248 Productivity Costs Associated with Disease Recurrence Among Surgically-Treated Patients with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

چکیده

In addition to direct healthcare costs, cancer patients incur productivity costs due morbidity and mortality. This study evaluated associated with TNBC recurrence among surgically-treated patients. Eligible were identified from the OptumHealth Reporting Insights database grouped into non-recurrence cohorts. Patients classified as metastatic or locoregional based on claims observed after surgery. For recurrent patients, index dates defined 30 days before recurrence; for non-recurrent they randomly assigned. Productivity disability employers' payments; medically-related absenteeism calculated using of wage data. Multivariable regression models used compare loss costs. The considered period up one year post-index. Cox proportional hazard compared risk leaving workforce over five years date. All adjusted controlled baseline characteristics. 412 838 (both non-recurrent) included in workloss analyses, respectively. analysis, total 1.51 2.08 times higher, respectively, than cohort p<0.001). Predicted monthly $451 without recurrence, $849 $1,454 recurrence. Adjusted found cost differences between cohorts be statistically significant addition, a 63% higher rate (p=0.003), primarily driven by leave absence short- long-term disability. is decreased workforce. analysis contributes limited literature addressing productivity-related impact

Association of HDAC8 Expression with Pathological Findings in Triple Negative and Non-Triple Negative Breast Cancer: Implications for Diagnosis

Background: Previous data have shown the tumorigenicity roles of HDAC8 in breast cancer. More recently, the oncogenic effects of this molecule have been revealed in TNBC. The present study aimed to determine the diagnostic value of HDAC8 for the differentiation of TNBC from nTNBC tumors. Methods: A total of 50 cancerous and normal adjacent tumor specimens were obtained, and the clinical and pat...

Androgen Receptor Expression and Its Correlation with Clinicopathological Parameters in Iranian Patients with Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Background & Objective: Our knowledge about correlation of androgen receptor expression and clinicopathological properties of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients is inadequate, particularly in the Iranian population. The main aim of the present study was to assess the AR expression in TNBC Iranian patients and evaluate its correlation with their clinicopathological pa...

DNA repair protein biomarkers associated with time to recurrence in triple-negative breast cancer.

PURPOSE To evaluate the prognostic utility of immunohistochemical assessment of key proteins in multiple DNA repair pathways in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC; estrogen receptor negative, progesterone receptor negative, and HER2/neu negative by immunohistochemistry). EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN Archived clinically annotated tumor specimens from 112 women with TNBC were immunostained with antibod...

SPARC overexpression in primary tumors correlates with disease recurrence and overall survival in patients with triple negative breast cancer

SPARC/osteonectin expression is reportedly altered in various malignancies. However, little is known regarding to the prognostic value of SPARC in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients. In this study, immunohistochemistry and immunoreactive scores (IRSs) were used to evaluate SPARC protein expression in primary tumors from 211 TNBC patients with up to 10 years of clinical follow-up data...

Comparisons of Oncologic Outcomes between Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) and Non-TNBC among Patients Treated with Breast-Conserving Therapy

PURPOSE The optimum local surgical strategy regarding breast-conserving therapy (BCT) for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is controversial. To investigate whether BCT is appropriate for patients with TNBC, we evaluated the clinical outcomes of BCT in women with TNBC compared to those of women without TNBC, using a large, single-center cohort. MATERIALS AND METHODS We performed a retrospe...
